Tiny House on Wheels Wood Frame Queen Loft Mini Split

Entirely custom, this 24' tiny house on wheels was designed and built from the ground up. At 235 sq ft it has a lot to offer — a generous kitchen with a peninsula for eating and gathering, ample seating, a large bathroom, and a loft with a queen size bed.

The space feels much larger than it is, with strategically placed windows and a lofted ceiling. One side opens up with large windows to take advantage of views and natural light, while the other creates a more private feel. The dark charcoal exterior opens to a warm, light-filled interior.

Handmade details throughout. Cross ventilation keeps it cool naturally, backed up by a mini split when needed. Space for a washer/dryer and dishwasher, with plenty of storage — without sacrificing living space.

This unique 125 sq ft tiny house sits tucked above a tranquil creek, surrounded by nature with views of Casey Farm and Narragansett Bay. Though compact, the space feels open thanks to large windows that bring the outdoors in.

Inside you'll find a kitchen with a stovetop, a full bathroom, and a cozy living area that transforms into a bedroom with a bed that lowers from the ceiling. The interior is thoughtfully designed for comfort and charm, and an attached deck lets you soak up the sun or enjoy a peaceful morning coffee outdoors.

Tiny House on Wheels Wood Stove Queen Loft Cedar & Steel First Build

An exciting first step into the building world — seeing something drawn up by hand come to life. Hours of research went into building methods, materials, appliances, and tiny house design before a single board was cut.

The result: a 20' tiny house on wheels with a cedar and corrugated steel exterior, wood-burning stove, loft bedroom, and a thoughtfully designed interior that packs in far more than its footprint suggests. Many valuable lessons were learned along the way and have shaped every build since.

Shipping Container Murphy Bed Fully Shippable Mini Split Cedar Siding

The concept behind this build was simple: at the end of the day, it still had to be a shipping container. Close the doors and it can go anywhere a container can go — no special permits, no disassembly. That constraint drove every design decision.

Inside, the space is bright and airy — mint cabinetry, a chevron tile backsplash, farmhouse sink, full kitchen with range, and a murphy bed that lowers to fill the living area. Cedar siding wraps the exterior, softening the industrial container bones into something that feels like home.

Tiny House on Wheels Queen Loft Kitchen Island Mini Split Built in Tandem

Built alongside the Charcoal Tiny House with a friend helping to pick out furniture and fixtures, this 24' THOW shares a similar layout but takes its own direction — light, airy, and full of carefully chosen detail.

A full kitchen with gas range and island seating opens to a bright living area with built-in bench storage on both sides. LED cove lighting runs the perimeter of the ceiling, a custom black staircase leads to the queen loft, and a stone vessel sink anchors the bathroom. Two builds, same bones — two very different results.

About

Hey, glad you're here.
I'm Cam.

I design and build tiny houses in Saunderstown, Rhode Island. I've always enjoyed working with my hands — whether building a birdhouse, helping my dad with a house project, or making scale models in architecture school. I studied at Roger Williams University, graduated with a master's in architecture, then worked at a firm on modern and historic projects. I quickly realized sitting in front of a computer all day wasn't for me.

I started playing around with tiny house designs and the ideas totally took off. Since then I've been building what I design — and as my skills improve, I continue to challenge myself with each new project. When I'm not creating small unique spaces, you can find me working on other projects, smoking drives and missing putts on the golf course, searching for fresh powder in the mountains, or hanging with friends.

I hope you'll reach out to learn more, or come swing by to check them out.
